Abstrak

Indonesia menempati peringkat ketiga di Asia Tenggara dalam hal konsumsi minuman berpemanis (SSB) oleh penduduk. Peningkatan konsumsi minuman tersebut turut berkontribusi terhadap meningkatnya prevalensi penyakit tidak menular (PTM). Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) merekomendasikan batas asupan gula harian sebesar 50 gram, setara dengan empat sendok makan, yang telah diadopsi oleh Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia. Pelaku usaha diwajibkan untuk mematuhi ketentuan yang tercantum dalam Undang-Undang Perlindungan Konsumen. Namun, label informasi gizi seringkali sulit dipahami oleh konsumen, sehingga menimbulkan urgensi untuk mengatur format pelabelan yang lebih sederhana dan mudah diakses. Salah satu format pelabelan yang disederhanakan tersebut adalah Front of Pack Nutrition Labeling (FoPNL). Singapura telah mengatur dan menerapkan FoPNL pada produk dalam kemasan melalui sistem label Nutri-Grade. Di Indonesia, satu jaringan ritel supermarket telah mulai menerapkan sistem FoPNL Nutri-Grade pada produk minuman berpemanis. Selain itu, terdapat pula upaya untuk memberlakukan pajak terhadap minuman berpemanis sebagai strategi untuk menekan konsumsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yuridis normatif, dengan bertumpu pada peraturan perundang-undangan beserta turunannya, serta literatur dari buku, jurnal, dan media cetak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pelabelan Nutri-Grade oleh pelaku usaha ritel merupakan bentuk perlindungan hukum terhadap konsumen
